Shovels specified chemicals into tank of heated water to dissolve chemicals preparatory to charging mixing kettle that produces optical brightener (organic white dye) for soaps and fabrics. Moves drums of chemicals to work area, using handtruck. May read work orders to determine type and amount of chemicals to add to kettle. May be designated according to material produced as Optical-Brightener-Maker Helper (chemical).
